The Beddingfield Bruins (Wilson, NC) basketball knocked off the visiting North Johnston Panthers (Kenly, NC), 57-41 in Friday's league test.
The Bruins (11-3) will now prepare for their test against Eastern Wayne (Goldsboro, NC). The Warriors go into the 2A Neuse test with a 14-1 record. In their last test, Eastern Wayne notched a victory over Spring Creek (Seven Springs, NC), 55-29, in a league test.
The Panthers now own a 10-2 record. They play next when they travel to Goldsboro for a 2A Neuse test on Tuesday, January 23. North Johnston will encounter a Cougars squad coming off a 68-18 league win over Princeton (Princeton, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 14-0.
