Central Cabarrus Vikings (Concord, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting East Rowan Mustangs (Salisbury, NC), 45-42 in a league bout.

With the win, Central Cabarrus upgrades its record to 10-7 on the season. The Vikings travel to South Rowan (China Grove, NC) to play the Raiders in a 3A South Piedmont bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 3-11.

Next up, the Mustangs play the Lake Norman Charter Knights (Huntersville, NC) in a 3A South Piedmont bout, on Tuesday, January 23. East Rowan will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 4-12 record after their 76-20 league loss to West Rowan (Mt. Ulla, NC).
