Central DeWitt (DeWitt, IA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Davenport Central Blue Devils (Davenport, IA), 66-19 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Central DeWitt upgrades its record to 11-4 on the season. The host North Scott (Eldridge, IA) to play the Lancers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Lancers go into the bout with a record of 6-8. North Scott won 53-41 in their recent league bout against Assumption (Davenport, IA)

Next up, the Blue Devils confront the Muscatine Muskies (Muscatine, IA) in a Mississippi challenge, on Monday, January 22. Davenport Central will attempt to improve on its 2-11 season record. The Muskies come into the challenge with a 6-5 record after their 62-31 league loss to Bettendorf (Bettendorf, IA).
