Northwest Whitfield Bruins (Tunnel Hill, GA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Central Lions (Carrollton, GA), 51-21 in a league bout.

With the win, Northwest Whitfield upgrades its record to 10-6 on the season. The Bruins travel to Sonoraville (Calhoun, GA) to play the Phoenix in a AAAA Region 7 bout on Saturday, January 20. The Phoenix go into the bout with a record of 7-12. Sonoraville lost 55-45 in their recent league bout against Heritage (Ringgold, GA)

Next up, the Lions play the Heritage Generals (Ringgold, GA) in a AAAA Region 7 bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Central will attempt to upgrade on its 8-8 season record. The Generals go into the bout with a 14-4 record after their 55-45 league win over Sonoraville (Calhoun, GA).
