The Chester-Joplin-Inverness Hawks (Chester, MT) basketball crushed the host Turner Tornadoes (Turner, MT), 51-30 in Friday's league test.
The Hawks (8-1) will now prepare for their test against Hays-Lodge Pole (Hays, MT). The Thunder Birds go into the C District 9 test with a 0-5 record. In their last test, Hays-Lodge Pole was trounced by North Star (Rudyard, MT), 40-35, in a league test.
The Tornadoes now own a 1-6 record. They play next when they travel to Big Sandy for a C District 9 test on Saturday, January 20. Turner will encounter a Pioneers squad coming off a 55-43 non-league win over Cascade (Cascade, MT). The Pioneers record now stands at 10-1.
