The Clovis Cougars basketball team (Clovis, CA), was overwhelmed 80-41 in Friday's league battle with the host Clovis West Golden Eagles (Fresno, CA)
The Golden Eagles now possess a 20-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Maria Carrillo for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 20. Clovis West will battle a Pumas team coming off a 53-33 league win over Montgomery (Santa Rosa, CA). The Pumas record now stands at 14-5.
The Cougars (12-10) will now prepare for their battle against Central (Fresno, CA). The Grizzlies come into the Tri-Rivers battle with a 14-7 record. In their last battle, Central trounced Clovis East (Clovis, CA), 59-34, in a league battle.
