In Friday's league outing, the Cross Plains Buffaloes (Cross Plains, TX) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Rising Star Wildcats (Rising Star, TX), by a margin of 62-22.

The Buffaloes (14-15) will now prepare for their outing against Moran (Moran, TX). The Bulldogs go into the 1A Region II District 13 outing with a 1-21 record. In their last outing, Moran was trounced by Baird (Baird, TX), 39-8, in a league outing.

The Wildcats now own a 2-8 record. They play next when they travel to May for a 1A Region II District 13 outing on Tuesday, January 23. Rising Star will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 79-17 league loss to Eula (Clyde, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 8-3.
