The Mustangs now sport a 14-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Loop for a 1A Region I District 8 battle on Tuesday, January 23. Sands will battle a Longhorns team coming off a 43-25 league win over Dawson (Welch, TX). The Longhorns record now stands at 2-8.

The Dragons (4-16) will now prepare for their battle against Grady (Lenorah, TX). The Wildcats come into the 1A Region I District 8 battle with a 3-12 record.
