The Hornbeck Hornets basketball team scored 47 points and held the visiting Evans Eagles to 41 in the Hornets league triumph on Friday.
The Hornets now sport a 17-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Simpson for a C District 3 contest on Tuesday, January 23. Hornbeck will meet a Broncos team coming off a 67-45 non-league win over DeRidder (DeRidder, LA). The Broncos record now stands at 22-8.
The Eagles (11-19) will now prepare for their contest against Pleasant Hill (Pleasant Hill, LA). The Eagles enter the C District 3 contest with a 19-10 record. In their last contest, Pleasant Hill nudged Ebarb (Noble, LA), 48-32, in a league contest.
