The Glenbrook North Spartans (Northbrook, IL) basketball nipped the host Evanston Wildkits (Evanston, IL), 48-45 in Friday's league test.
The Spartans (13-5) will now prepare for their test against Lane Tech (Chicago, IL). The Champions go into the non-league test with a 14-9 record. In their last test, Lane Tech got by Westinghouse (Chicago, IL), 56-52, in a league test.
The Wildkits now own a 9-11 record. They play next when they travel to Nazareth Academy for a non-league test on Saturday, January 20. Evanston will encounter a Roadrunners squad coming off a 65-37 non-league win over Hyde Park (Chicago, IL). The Roadrunners record now stands at 17-3.
