Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire Titans (Ruthven, IA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting West Bend-Mallard Wolverines (West Bend, IA), 52-48 in a league bout.

With the win, Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire upgrades its record to 5-10 on the season. The Titans travel to Pocahontas (Pocahontas, IA) to play the Indians in a Twin Lakes bout on Monday, January 22. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 6-6. Pocahontas won 43-30 in their recent non-league bout against Emmetsburg (Emmetsburg, IA)

Next up, the Wolverines play the Bishop Garrigan Golden Bears (Algona, IA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 20. West Bend-Mallard will attempt to upgrade on its 8-4 season record. The Golden Bears go into the bout with a 15-1 record after their 62-24 league win over Eagle Grove (Eagle Grove, IA).
