The Stonington Bears basketball team scored 61 points and restricted the host Griswold Wolverines to 27 in the Bears non-league victory on Friday.
The Bears now sport a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Windham for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 24. Stonington will battle a Whippets team coming off a 77-37 non-league win over Lyman Memorial (Lebanon, CT). The Whippets record now stands at 10-1.
The Wolverines (2-9) will now prepare for their contest against Montville (Oakdale, CT). The Wolves come into the Eastern Connecticut - 3 contest with a 7-5 record. In their last contest, Montville was routed by Plainfield (Central Village, CT), 45-25, in a league contest.
