With the victory, Idalou improves its record to 22-6 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Slaton (Slaton, TX) to play the Tigers in a 3A Region I District 2 challenge on Tuesday, January 23. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 17-5.

Next up, the Mustangs play the Abernathy Antelopes (Abernathy, TX) in a 3A Region I District 2 challenge, on Tuesday, January 23. Shallowater will attempt to improve on its 11-12 season record. The Antelopes come into the challenge with a 16-9 record after their 31-27 league loss to Idalou (Idalou, TX).
