Jones Trojans (Beeville, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Ingleside Mustangs (Ingleside, TX), 32-28 in a league bout.

With the win, Jones upgrades its record to 16-12 on the season. The Trojans host Orange Grove (Orange Grove, TX) to clash with the Bulldogs in a 4A Region IV District 30 bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 5-13. Orange Grove lost 49-36 in their recent league bout against West Oso (Corpus Christi, TX)

Next up, the Mustangs clash with the Calhoun Sandcrabs (Port Lavaca, TX) in a 4A Region IV District 30 bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Ingleside will attempt to upgrade on its 20-9 season record. The Sandcrabs go into the bout with a 9-19 record after their 40-39 league win over Jones (Beeville, TX).
