Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Northside Eagles (Warner Robins, GA) and the visiting Lee County Trojans (Leesburg, GA), saw Northside's basketball squad hold off Lee County by a count of 38-31.

With the victory, Northside upgrades its record to 7-11 on the campaign. The Eagles host Houston County (Warner Robins, GA) to play the Bears in a AAAAAA Region 1 challenge on Saturday, January 20. The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 7-9. Houston County lost 82-18 in their recent league challenge against Tift County (Tifton, GA)

Next up, the Trojans play the Thomas County Central Yellow Jackets (Thomasville, GA) in a AAAAAA Region 1 challenge, on Saturday, January 20. Lee County will attempt to upgrade on its 5-12 season record. The Yellow Jackets come into the challenge with a 13-3 record after their 61-38 league loss to Veterans (Kathleen, GA).
