Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Washington County Bulldogs (Chatom, AL) and the host Leroy Bears (Leroy, AL), saw Washington County's basketball squad knock off Leroy by a count of 62-49.

With the victory, Washington County upgrades its record to 12-0 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Blacksher (Uriah, AL) to play the Bulldogs in a 2A Area 1 challenge on Monday, January 22. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 10-5. Blacksher won 58-46 in their recent league challenge against Chickasaw (Chickasaw, AL)

Next up, the Bears play the Citronelle Wildcats (Citronelle, AL) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 25. Leroy will attempt to upgrade on its 9-7 season record.
