The West Lincoln Bears basketball team scored 37 points and restricted the visiting Loyd Star Hornets to 18 in the Bears league victory on Friday.

The Bears now sport a 14-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bogue Chitto for a 2A Region 7 contest on Tuesday, January 23. West Lincoln will battle a Bobcats team coming off a 66-24 league win over Wilkinson County (Woodville, MS). The Bobcats record now stands at 22-0.

The Hornets (8-9) will now prepare for their contest against Amite County (Liberty, MS). The Trojans come into the 2A Region 7 contest with a 1-16 record.
