The Permian Panthers basketball team (Odessa, TX), was toppled 39-28 in Friday's league battle with the host Midland Bulldogs (Midland, TX)
The Bulldogs now possess a 12-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host Odessa for a 6A Region I District 2 battle on Tuesday, January 23. Midland will confront a Bronchos team coming off a 50-22 league loss to San Angelo Central (San Angelo, TX). The Bronchos record now stands at 10-19.
The Panthers (11-13) will now prepare for their battle against Frenship (Wolfforth, TX). The Tigers come into the 6A Region I District 2 battle with a 26-3 record. In their last battle, Frenship beat Midland Legacy (Midland, TX), 64-39, in a league battle.
