Mooreland Bearcats (Mooreland, OK) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Turpin Cardinals (Turpin, OK), 44-33 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mooreland upgrades its record to 7-6 on the season. The Bearcats travel to Canton (Canton, OK) to play the Tigers in a Great Plains 7 bout on Saturday, January 20. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 13-2. Canton won 56-20 in their recent non-league bout against Sharon-Mutual (Mutual, OK)

Next up, the Cardinals play the Balko Bison (Balko, OK) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Turpin will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The Bison go into the bout with a 11-4 record after their 58-36 non-league win over Shattuck (Shattuck, OK).
