Newton Rams (Covington, GA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Parkview Panthers (Lilburn, GA), 51-28 in a league bout.

With the win, Newton upgrades its record to 11-8 on the season. The Rams travel to Grayson (Loganville, GA) to play the Rams in a AAAAAAA Region 4 bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 19-0. Grayson won 68-40 in their recent non-league bout against McEachern (Powder Springs, GA)

Next up, the Panthers play the Brookwood Broncos (Snellville, GA) in a AAAAAAA Region 4 bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Parkview will attempt to upgrade on its 11-9 season record. The Broncos go into the bout with a 5-15 record after their 65-47 league loss to Archer (Lawrenceville, GA).
