The Nocona Indians basketball team scored 82 points and held the visiting Olney Cubs to 5 in the Indians league triumph on Friday.
The Indians now sport a 24-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Petrolia for a 2A Region II District 9 contest on Tuesday, January 23. Nocona will meet a Pirates team coming off a 35-33 league win over Archer City (Archer City, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 11-14.
The Cubs (3-20) will now prepare for their bout against Seymour (Seymour, TX). The Panthers come into the 2A Region II District 9 bout with a 13-11 record. In their last bout, Seymour was crushed by Windthorst (Windthorst, TX), 55-46, in a league bout.
