North Fayette Valley (West Union, IA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Postville Pirates (Postville, IA), 50-25 in a league bout.

With the win, North Fayette Valley upgrades its record to 10-4 on the season. The host MFL MarMac (Monona, IA) to play the Bulldogs in a Upper Iowa bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 11-5. MFL MarMac won 54-35 in their recent league bout against Turkey Valley (Jackson Junction, IA)

Next up, the Pirates play the Tripoli Panthers (Tripoli, IA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 22. Postville will attempt to upgrade on its 2-14 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 2-12 record after their 40-30 league loss to Don Bosco (Gilbertville, IA).
