The North Surry Greyhounds (Mount Airy, NC) basketball felled the visiting Surry Central Golden Eagles (Dobson, NC), 61-45 in Friday's league test.
The Greyhounds (11-3) will now prepare for their test against North Wilkes (Hays, NC). The Vikings go into the 2A Foothills test with a 13-3 record. In their last test, North Wilkes thwarted Forbush (East Bend, NC), 43-40, in a league test.
The Golden Eagles now own a 10-3 record. They play next when they travel to East Surry for a 2A Foothills test on Tuesday, January 23. Surry Central will encounter a Cardinals squad coming off a 50-32 league win over West Wilkes (Millers Creek, NC). The Cardinals record now stands at 12-4.
