In Friday's league outing, the Northwestern Regional Highlanders (Winsted, CT) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Shepaug Valley Spartans (Washington, CT), by a count of 62-23.
The Highlanders (9-3) will now prepare for their outing against Thomaston (Thomaston, CT). The Bears go into the Berkshire outing with a 11-2 record. In their last outing, Thomaston smashed Litchfield (Litchfield, CT), 49-21, in a league outing.
