Pearl River Pirates (Pearl River, NY) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Nyack Red Hawks (Upper Nyack, NY), 56-44 in a league bout.

With the victory, Pearl River upgrades its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Pirates host Pelham Memorial (Pelham, NY) to play the Pelicans in a non-league bout on Monday, February 5. The Pelicans come into the bout with a record of 1-1.

Next up, the Red Hawks play the Rye Garnets (Rye, NY) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 24. Nyack will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record.
