Oologah Mustangs (Oologah, OK) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Sequoyah Eagles (Claremore, OK), 46-43 in a league bout.

With the victory, Oologah upgrades its record to 7-7 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Sallisaw (Sallisaw, OK) to play the Black Diamonds in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 20. The Black Diamonds come into the bout with a record of 5-10. Sallisaw won 53-35 in their recent non-league bout against Ketchum (Ketchum, OK)

Next up, the Eagles play the Ketchum Warriors (Ketchum, OK) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 20. Sequoyah will attempt to upgrade on its 2-12 season record. The Warriors come into the bout with a 6-8 record after their 53-35 non-league loss to Sallisaw (Sallisaw, OK).
