Maine High School Basketball - Poland knocked off by Waynflete

The Waynflete Flyers basketball team scored 39 points and held the visiting Poland Knights to 30 in the Flyers non-league triumph on Friday.

The Flyers now sport a 8-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Yarmouth Academy for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 23. Waynflete will meet a Panthers team coming off a 42-24 league win over Old Orchard Beach (Old Orchard Beach, ME). The Panthers record now stands at 10-0.

The Knights (6-6) will now prepare for their contest against St. Dominic (Lewiston, ME). The Saints enter the non-league contest with a 7-3 record. In their last contest, St. Dominic ran past Pine Tree Academy (Freeport, ME), 39-26, in a league contest.
