With the victory, Southland Academy improves its record to 6-8 on the campaign. The Raiders host Calvary Christian (Columbus, GA) to play the Knights in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 20. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 7-8. Calvary Christian lost 75-53 in their recent league challenge against Creekside Christian Academy (McDonough, GA)

Next up, the Valiants play the Terrell Academy Eagles (Dawson, GA) in a GIAA AAAA/AAA District 3 challenge, on Monday, January 22. Valwood will attempt to improve on its 4-7 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 10-4 record after their 49-42 league loss to Deerfield-Windsor (Albany, GA).
