Texas High School Basketball - Vela overwhelms Valley View

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Vela Sabercats (Edinburg, TX) and the host Valley View Tigers (Pharr, TX), saw Vela's basketball squad wallop Valley View by a tally of 94-16.

With the victory, Vela improves its record to 25-5 on the campaign. The Sabercats host Rowe (McAllen, TX) to confront the Warriors in a 5A Region IV District 31 challenge on Tuesday, January 23. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 20-9. Rowe won 50-20 in their recent league challenge against Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest (Pharr, TX)

Next up, the Tigers confront the Sharyland Rattlers (Mission, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 31 challenge, on Tuesday, January 23. Valley View will attempt to improve on its 0-15 season record. The Rattlers come into the challenge with a 6-20 record after their 44-37 league loss to McAllen Memorial (McAllen, TX).
