Mountain Vista Golden Eagles (Highlands Ranch, CO) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Chaparral Wolverines (Parker, CO), 44-33 in a league bout.

With the win, Mountain Vista upgrades its record to 3-0 on the season. The Golden Eagles travel to Regis Jesuit (Aurora, CO) to clash with the Raiders in a bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 11-1. Regis Jesuit won 28-22 in their recent league bout against Rock Canyon (Highlands Ranch, CO)

Next up, the Wolverines clash with the Douglas County Huskies (Castle Rock, CO) in a bout, on Wednesday, January 24. Chaparral will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record. The Huskies go into the bout with a 1-3 record after their 42-26 league loss to ThunderRidge (Highlands Ranch, CO).
