The Cave Spring Knights basketball team (Roanoke, VA), was overwhelmed 47-9 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Salem Spartans (Salem, VA)
The Spartans now possess a 8-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Blacksburg for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 23. Salem will confront a Bruins team coming off a 32-23 non-league win over Lord Botetourt (Daleville, VA). The Bruins record now stands at 12-2.
The Knights (1-6) will now prepare for their battle against Patrick Henry (Roanoke, VA). The Patriots come into the non-league battle with a 0-8 record. In their last battle, Patrick Henry was overwhelmed by Christiansburg (Christiansburg, VA), 39-6, in a non-league battle.
