St. Johnsbury Academy Hilltoppers (St. Johnsbury, VT) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Champlain Valley Union Redhawks (Hinesburg, VT), 39-32 in a non-league bout.

With the win, St. Johnsbury Academy upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Hilltoppers travel to Bellows Falls (Bellows Falls, VT) to clash with the Terriers in a non-league bout on Monday, January 22. The Terriers go into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Redhawks clash with the Essex Hornets (Essex Junction, VT) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Champlain Valley Union will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record.
