In Friday's league battle, the visiting Yreka Miners soccer squad scored a close 1-0 triumph over the Anderson Cubs.
The Miners (6-8) will now prepare for their battle against Lassen (Susanville, CA). The Grizzlies come into the Northern Athletic battle with a 6-7 record. In their last battle, Lassen was nudged by University Prep (Redding, CA), 3-0, in a league battle.
The Cubs (5-10) will now prepare for their battle against West Valley (Cottonwood, CA). The Eagles come into the Northern Athletic battle with a 7-6 record. In their last battle, West Valley nudged Central Valley (Shasta Lake, CA), 9-0, in a league battle.
