Highland Tech Rams (Gastonia, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Bessemer City Yellow Jackets (Bessemer City, NC), 40-31 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Highland Tech upgrades its record to 2-12 on the season. The Rams travel to Thomas Jefferson (Mooresboro, NC) to clash with the Gryphons in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Gryphons go into the bout with a record of 3-2.

Next up, the Yellow Jackets clash with the East Gaston Warriors (Mt. Holly, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 23. Bessemer City will attempt to improve on its 0-12 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 5-6 record after their 59-41 non-league loss to Burns (Lawndale, NC).
