The Burns Bulldogs (Lawndale, NC) basketball knocked off the visiting East Gaston Warriors (Mt. Holly, NC), 59-41 in Friday's non-league test.
The Bulldogs (10-4) will now prepare for their test against Cherryville (Cherryville, NC). The Ironmen go into the non-league test with a 7-6 record. In their last test, Cherryville notched a victory over Highland Tech (Gastonia, NC), 40-37, in a non-league test.
The Warriors now own a 5-6 record. They play next when they travel to Bessemer City for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 23. East Gaston will encounter a Yellow Jackets squad coming off a 40-31 non-league loss to Highland Tech (Gastonia, NC). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 0-12.
