Point Loma Pointers (San Diego, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Canyon Hills Rattlers (San Diego, CA), 60-57 in a league bout.

With the win, Point Loma upgrades its record to 11-8 on the season. The Pointers host Coronado (Coronado, CA) to clash with the Islanders in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Islanders go into the bout with a record of 6-10. Coronado lost 50-16 in their recent non-league bout against Eastlake (Chula Vista, CA)

Next up, the Rattlers clash with the Kearny Komets (San Diego, CA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Canyon Hills will attempt to upgrade on its 7-3 season record. The Komets go into the bout with a 10-8 record after their 67-24 non-league win over Castle Park (Chula Vista, CA).
