High School Basketball - JV Opponent knocked off by Corpus Christi United

The Corpus Christi United Watchmen basketball team scored 54 points and held the host JV Opponent to 34 in the Watchmen non-league triumph on Friday.
The Watchmen now sport a 7-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to JV Opponent for a non-league contest on Friday, January 26.
The (141-382) will now prepare for their contest against Arborbrook Christian Academy (Matthews, NC). The Falcons enter the non-league contest with a 6-11 record. In their last contest, Arborbrook Christian Academy ran past JV Opponent (, ), 41-35, in a non-league contest.
Fourth Quarter
Watchmen United JV defeated Mathis JV, 54-34, in a back-and-forth game on Friday. There were seven lead changes in the game. Brett Bouma scored 13 points to lead Watchmen United JV. Watchmen United JV fell behind 21-18 at halftime before claiming victory in the end. Leading 41-33, Watchmen United JV went on a 13-point run to pull further away. The fourth quarter was the best for Watchmen United JV as they outscored Mathis JV 21-5.
Watchmen United JV had five assists in the quarter. Watchmen United JV played stifling defense, blocking seven shots and grabbing 30 steals. Watchmen United JV controlled the paint, grabbing 38 rebounds. Samuel Macias led the team with nine rebounds. Watchmen United JV passed the ball well with 17 assists on 23 made baskets.
