Northeastern Eagles (Elizabeth City, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Currituck County Knights (Barco, NC), 56-28 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Northeastern upgrades its record to 9-1 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to First Flight (Kill Devil Hills, NC) to play the Nighthawks in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Nighthawks come into the bout with a record of 6-5. First Flight won 60-58 in their recent non-league bout against Pasquotank County (Elizabeth City, NC)

Next up, the Knights play the Hertford County Bears (Ahoskie, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 23. Currituck County will attempt to upgrade on its 6-5 season record. The Bears come into the bout with a 4-5 record after their 65-58 non-league loss to Bertie (Windsor, NC).
