Dixon Bulldogs (Holly Ridge, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Richlands Wildcats (Richlands, NC), 26-23 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Dixon upgrades its record to 7-4 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Swansboro (Swansboro, NC) to clash with the Pirates in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 24. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 8-3. Swansboro won 45-34 in their recent non-league bout against West Carteret (Morehead City, NC)

Next up, the Wildcats clash with the West Carteret Patriots (Morehead City, NC) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 22. Richlands will attempt to upgrade on its 1-11 season record. The Patriots go into the bout with a 3-8 record after their 45-34 non-league loss to Swansboro (Swansboro, NC).
