Tunstall Trojans (Dry Fork, VA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Halifax County Comets (South Boston, VA), 43-33 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Tunstall upgrades its record to 7-4 on the season. The Trojans host George Washington (Danville, VA) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 24. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 7-3.

Next up, the Comets play the Northern Durham Knights (Durham, NC) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 22. Halifax County will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 4-8 record after their 63-23 non-league loss to Chapel Hill (Chapel Hill, NC).
