Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Mt. Eden Monarchs (Hayward, CA) and the host Tennyson Lancers (Hayward, CA), saw Mt. Eden's basketball squad knock off Tennyson by a count of 48-30.

With the victory, Mt. Eden upgrades its record to 4-5 on the campaign. The Monarchs travel to Ukiah (Ukiah, CA) to play the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 20. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 9-3.

Next up, the Lancers play the Encinal Jets (Alameda, CA) in a challenge, on Wednesday, January 24. Tennyson will attempt to upgrade on its 8-10 season record. The Jets come into the challenge with a 2-6 record after their 56-28 league loss to Arroyo (San Lorenzo, CA).
