West Brunswick Trojans (Shallotte, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting South Brunswick Cougars (Southport, NC), 78-41 in a non-league bout.

With the win, West Brunswick upgrades its record to 8-4 on the season. The Trojans travel to New Hanover (Wilmington, NC) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 7-0. New Hanover won 47-29 in their recent non-league bout against Hoggard (Wilmington, NC)

Next up, the Cougars play the Hoggard Vikings (Wilmington, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 23. South Brunswick will attempt to upgrade on its 3-9 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 8-1 record after their 47-29 non-league loss to New Hanover (Wilmington, NC).
