Southampton Indians (Courtland, VA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Surry County Cougars (Dendron, VA), 31-26 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Southampton upgrades its record to 4-7 on the season. The Indians host Windsor (Windsor, VA) to play the Dukes in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 24. The Dukes go into the bout with a record of 0-10.

Next up, the Cougars play the Sussex Central Tigers (Sussex, VA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 24. Surry County will attempt to upgrade on its 2-9 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 6-1 record after their 54-27 non-league win over Windsor (Windsor, VA).
