Frontier Cougars (New Matamoras, OH) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Beallsville Blue Devils (Beallsville, OH), 57-38 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Frontier upgrades its record to 2-6 on the campaign. The Cougars host River (Hannibal, OH) to play the Pilots in a Ohio Valley AA bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Pilots come into the bout with a record of 7-2. River lost 47-32 in their recent non-league bout against Canfield (Canfield, OH)

Next up, the Blue Devils play the Newcomerstown Trojans (Newcomerstown, OH) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 4. Beallsville will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record.
