Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Katahdin Cougars (Sherman Station, ME) and the host Hodgdon Hawks (Hodgdon, ME), saw Katahdin's basketball squad wallop Hodgdon by a tally of 51-16.

With the victory, Katahdin improves its record to 3-3 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Ashland (Ashland, ME) to confront the Hornets in a D North challenge on Tuesday, January 3. The Hornets come into the challenge with a record of 0-4. Ashland lost 73-35 in their recent league challenge against Wisdom (St. Agatha, ME)

Next up, the Hawks confront the Easton Bears (Easton, ME) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 4. Hodgdon will attempt to improve on its 3-4 season record. The Bears come into the challenge with a 7-0 record after their 68-52 non-league win over Central Aroostook (Mars Hill, ME).
