The Riverside Vikings basketball team scored 53 points and restricted the host Carbondale Area Chargers to 32 in the Vikings league victory on Monday.

The Vikings now sport a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Holy Cross for a Lackawanna 3 contest on Thursday, January 5. Riverside will battle a Crusaders team coming off a 48-26 league loss to Old Forge (Old Forge, PA). The Crusaders record now stands at 0-3.

The Chargers (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against Mid Valley (Throop, PA). The Spartans come into the Lackawanna 3 contest with a 0-3 record. In their last contest, Mid Valley was routed by Dunmore (Dunmore, PA), 58-23, in a league contest.
