The Joliet Catholic Hilltoppers basketball team scored 48 points and held the visiting LaSalle-Peru Cavaliers to 43 in the Hilltoppers non-league triumph on Monday.

The Hilltoppers now sport a 10-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Benet Academy for a East Suburban Catholic contest on Saturday, January 7. Joliet Catholic will battle a Redwings team coming off a 37-32 league loss to Nazareth Academy (LaGrange Park, IL). The Redwings record now stands at 11-5.

The Cavaliers (7-7) will now prepare for their contest against Kaneland (Maple Park, IL). The Knights enter the Interstate 8 contest with a 8-7 record. In their last contest, Kaneland nudged Lemont (Lemont, IL), 61-48, in a non-league contest.
