The Kearsarge Cougars basketball team scored 45 points and restricted the host Stevens Cardinals to 39 in the Cougars league victory on Monday.

The Cougars now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Monadnock for a Division III contest on Tuesday, January 3. Kearsarge will battle a Huskies team coming off a 50-30 non-league loss to Concord Christian (Concord, NH). The Huskies record now stands at 2-1.

The Cardinals (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Newport (Newport, NH). The Tigers come into the Division III contest with a 0-3 record. In their last contest, Newport was nudged by Stevens (Claremont, NH), 41-29, in a league contest.
