Connecticut High School Basketball - Amity Regional can't hold off Branford

The Branford Hornets basketball team scored 59 points and held the host Amity Regional Spartans to 54 in the Hornets non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Hornets now sport a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Haven for a non-league contest on Friday, January 5. Branford will battle a Blue Devils team coming off a 65-54 league win over Hamden (Hamden, CT). The Blue Devils record now stands at 4-3.

The Spartans (3-1) will now prepare for their contest against Hamden (Hamden, CT). The Green Dragons enter the non-league contest with a 3-3 record. In their last contest, Hamden was nudged by West Haven (West Haven, CT), 65-54, in a league contest.
