Howe Bulldogs (Howe, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Bells Panthers (Bells, TX), 55-34 in a league bout.

With the win, Howe upgrades its record to 13-6 on the season. The Bulldogs host Gunter (Gunter, TX) to play the Tigers in a 3A Region II District 11 bout on Friday, January 5. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 9-8. Gunter lost 55-54 in their recent league bout against Leonard (Leonard, TX)

Next up, the Panthers play the Bonham Warriors (Bonham, TX) in a 3A Region II District 11 bout, on Friday, January 5. Bells will attempt to upgrade on its 17-4 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 16-8 record after their 47-23 league loss to Pottsboro (Pottsboro, TX).
